An Evening Seminar

FORGIVENESS

Benefits v/s Dangers

Families are meant to be fun and enhancers of growth. Indian Families got it right in some ways and wrong in some ways. We need to move from confining family structures to catalysing ones. We need to understand the four key elements that can turn around the dynamics amongst the members - partners, siblings, children, parents and in-laws. As we apply these four elements, the family eco-system starts gradually turning around.

“You always hurt the one you love,

The one you shouldn't hurt at all.

You always take the sweetest rose,

And crush it till the petals fall.”

Introduction
What will you learn?

Key Learning Points

  1. Why are our closest relationships riddled with maximum emotional agony?

  2. Does it help our physical and emotional health to carry bitterness in our hearts?

  3. If my Karma is responsible for my experiences, is the other person guilty?

  4. Does forgiveness suppress my sorrow or dissolve it?

  5. Does our forgiving give the other person a clean chit to repeat their mistake?

  6. Even if we forgive, is it wise to let the other know that we have forgiven?

  7. What happens to our self-worth if we keep forgiving time and again?

  8. Does promptness to forgive crop up from our fear of confrontation?

* Lets explore these conflicting questions together *
